An audio book is not just a recording on a CD Rom

Pops Productions takes care of your audio book project from the recording process to fished product for physical or online distribution.

Pops Productions can encode your Audio Book in the special format that will let listeners select the chapter they want to listen to. When played on certain players or using certain programs the user can also see graphics/images. And when played on a iPod the listener can change the playback speed

Basically both files are .mp3 files, the one that ends with .mp3 is a standard .mp3 - We encode mp3 files with tags so they contain author information - which among author, copyright info, website url also included cover art which will be shown in iTunes, Photo iPods and other mp3 players. The m4b is the audiobook format for mp3. - call it an "enhanced" mp3. This file contains chapter information which has some advantages.

1) If imported in iTunes you can use the Next Chapter and Previous Chapter in the Control menu.

2) If played on a newer iPod you can select chapters

3) If imported in iTunes it will automatically be categorized under Audiobooks and not be in the general Music category as the standard .mp3 file will.

4) If played in the QuickTime Player you can choose chapters in the dropdown menu in the bottom of the player window
